Late 19th century folding French Bistro table
This charming French Bistro table dates back to the late 1890’s when stylish Parisian ladies took coffee after a late morning stroll around the city’s ‘jardins publique’ .
During high Summer the tables were furnished with cotton parasols to shield the fairer sex from the merciless midday sun.
Don’t be fooled by the size of this lovely piece; it was made in the traditional method of the 19th century ironmongery, is heavy and solid enough to last into the next century too.
