Late 19th century French bureau on tapered legs.
A beautiful turn of the century French bureau, gracefully elevated on tapered legs.
The lines are clean allowing one to focus on its charming simplicity so evocative of this era.
The bureau is of good size opening to a writing top with an ox blood leather insert embossed with a single gilded rosette at the centre.
The interior is painted a soft white to complement the red of the leather and the Gaelic blue of the exterior making this piece quite patriotic in its appearance.
A plethora of drawers and compartments means that one will not be short of storage, and should you wish to keep your manuscripts secret, the original key will lock them away in safety.
