Late 19th century French Wrought Iron Wine Rack
With wine-making deeply rooted in French life, these wrought iron giants have played a big part in most aspects of wine storage.
Found in the cellars of french homes, these wine racks came in all sizes to accommodate various quantities of individual collections.
This late 19th century classic is one of the rarer ones, comfortably housing 200 bottles.
It came out of a beautiful 18th century Provençal villa with a cellar richly decorated in stunning frescos.
Although perfectly sturdy as a free-standing unit, it does have L-shaped brackets to enable wall-fixing.
It would make a wonderfully quirky and unforgettable house-warming/wedding gift with a few bottles to start off the recipients collection.
